Who is Liz ?

After many years working in compliance audit and administration, I decided to take a new direction and immerse myself in the world of medical and pre-hospital care.

Over the past decade, I’ve been fortunate to blend my background in compliance, audit, and health and safety with my passion for emergency care.

This unique combination has allowed me to develop my skills further and, alongside my clinician colleagues, establish a training company dedicated to sharing our knowledge and expertise with pre-hospital students.

I live in a charming countryside setting, surrounded by a variety of animals, including my beloved horses, "Prince Rusty" and "Mr Tyrell" (a retired racehorse).

How cute are they ?

Recently, my friends and I took on the rewarding challenge of rescuing two abandoned ponies, "Alan" and "Steve." These two six-month-old foals were left in a field without registration or owners. Some might call it crazy, but in my experience, no companion is as loyal as a horse.

As you can probably tell, I’ve always been a horse enthusiast. Before "Prince Rusty" and "Mr Tyrell," I was lucky to have three lifelong equine friends: "River," "Chester," and "Jake." They all played a significant role in nurturing my passion for horses and equestrian sports. These days, I spend more time teaching children (and anyone willing to make a difference) than riding myself, but my love for horses remains as strong as ever.

Beyond my equestrian interests, I enjoy keeping fit and spending quality time with family and friends. Another passion of mine is exploring the British canals. Nothing helps me unwind quite like a peaceful trip on my canal boat—a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Of course, we all need time to recharge and step away from our routines now and then.
I can’t forget to mention my constant companion, "Bruno," a 16-year-old rescue Patterdale terrier. Despite being blind in one eye and selectively deaf (and having recently suffered a stroke), Bruno still insists on slow, dignified walks. He certainly has "small dog syndrome"—no matter the size of the other dogs, Bruno always makes his presence known and behaves like a true primadonna.

After all, everyone needs a little time to unwind and step away from their routine.
